Africa-Press – Ghana. The Akan Constituency Executives of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), in collaboration with the Oti Regional Executives, are scheduled to meet with parties involved in the recent barricading of the NADMO and NHIS offices in Kadjebi.
The meeting, aimed at resolving the tensions amicably, is expected to take place next week.
Mr. Richard Akrasi, the Akan NDC Director of Communications, disclosed this development in an interview in Kadjebi, Oti Region.
He admitted that the incident had dented the image of the party in the constituency and the region at large.
Mr. Akrasi, therefore, appealed to all aggrieved parties to exercise restraint, stressing that unity and peace are crucial for the district’s development.
The recent disturbance occurred on Monday, September 15, 2025, when a group reportedly affiliated with the NDC, and led by Mr. Sampson Quarshiga, the Akan NDC Youth Organiser, barricaded the offices of the NADMO District Director and the NHIS Scheme Manager.
The group claimed that the appointments were made without consulting the party’s grassroots structures.
The scheduled dialogue aims to bring all parties to the table and restore calm within the party’s ranks in the Akan Constituency.
