Africa-Press – Ghana. Deputy Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana National Youth Authority, Akosua Manu (Kozie) has been elected the parliamentary candidate of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in Adenta.

She polled 814 against her closest contender, Kwasi Obeng Fosu who had 638. Kwame obimpeh Winfred Nartey had 18.

Counting is underway in the orphan constituencies.

Orphan constituencies are areas where the NPP has no sitting MPs.

In other words, constituencies whose MPs are from the National Democratic Congress or independent candidates.

The party urged all stakeholders to comply with these provisions to ensure a smooth and transparent process.
