Africa-Press – Ghana. The Lighthouse Chapel International, Enchi branch has held a thanksgiving service in honour of the Aowin Municipal Chief Executive (MCE), Mr. Stephen Morcher.
The Service was to thank God for his guidance and protection during nomination, confirmation, and swearing into office as the new MCE.
The thanksgiving service was interspersed with songs of thanksgiving to which the congregation mostly clad in white dress, danced to the glory of God.
Bishop Robert Amoako, preaching on the theme; “For all authority comes from God” urged those in positions of authority such as Assemblyman, Pastor, MCE, Chief, MP, Minister to know that God placed them for a purpose.
He buttressed his point with the book of Roman chapter 13:1-7 and urged those blessed by with such higher positions by God to strive to be humble and work according to the dictates of His words.
Bishop Amoako used the opportunity to call for peace and unity among the political actors and Aowin traditional council for peaceful co-existence for the MCE to attain his vision for the Municipality.
He prayed for God’s protection, guidance, strength, and wisdom for the MCE and his family.
Mr. Stephen Morcher, the new MCE expressed his profound gratitude to all particularly the church, traditional authorities, and members of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) for their unwavering support and promised to work hard for the development of the Municipality.
He highlighted poor road network, youth unemployment, lack of educational infrastructures as some of major challenges facing Aowin Municipality and promised to tackle them.
Present were heads of department, traditional authorities, family members, and National Democratic Congress faithful.
