Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr Peter Awere, the Assembly Member for the Manso Adubia electoral area in the Amansie South District of the Ashanti Region, has donated 150 bags of cement to support construction works at the Manso Adubia district Police Command.

The donation forms part of the efforts to enhance security infrastructure in the area, as the police command undertakes several improvement projects, including the construction of a perimeter fence wall and other ancillary works, aimed at improving the operational environment for officers and the safety of the facility.

Mr Awere at the presentation ceremony, said the donation was motivated by his commitment to supporting institutions that played critical role in maintaining peace, law, and order in the community.

He said a well-resourced and secure police station was essential for effective policing and community safety.

Mr Awere indicated that the Manso Adubia community continued to experience infrastructural growth, and it was important for the area to get a security infrastructure, to keep pace with development.

He called on other stakeholders and benevolent individuals to support the police command to ensure the timely completion of the project.

Superintendent John Yeboah, the Manso Adubia District Police Commander, expressed profound gratitude to Mr Awere for the timely support.

He described the gesture as a significant contribution that would greatly aid the progress of the ongoing works.

Superintendent Yeboah commended the assembly member for his consistent concern for security and development in the electoral area and assured him of the judicious use of the resource donated.

He also reaffirmed the command’s commitment to working closely with the community and local authorities, to ensure peace and security in Manso Adubia and its surrounding communities.
