Africa-Press – Ghana. Founder and leader of Action People’s Party (APP), Kenneth Nana Kwame Asamoah says Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has failed Ghana despite his qualification and compliments as an astute economist.
He has stated that Ghanaians are suffering due to the abysmal performance and mismanagement of the economy by Dr. Bawumia who is the head of the Economic Management Team.
Prior to the 2016 general elections, many are those who described Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia as the Economic Messiah to partner Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to salvage the country from economic doldrums.
Dr. Bawumia at that time held a series of public lecturers questioning and vilifying the Economic Management Team of the erstwhile Mahama’s administration.
However, sections of the general public have begun to express disappointment stressing that the Vice President has failed to live up to expectations as the head of the Economic Management Team for almost 8 years.
In this vein, Nana Kwame Asamoah is doubting the economic prowess of the NPP flagbearer, maintaining that Dr. Bawumia is no longer the famous brilliant economist as he is now transmogrified into another area called digitalization.
He has emphasized that Dr. Bawumia was used by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) to scam Ghanaians for their votes.
“Bawumia knows nothing about the economy, and he was used to scam Akufo Addo and Ghanaians for their votes,” he told Isaac Ekow J.B, host of Onua FM Etifi Nsem show on May 25.
The APP leader insisted that traders in the country understand the economy better than Dr. Bawumia and prayed that Ghanaians will see this and reject him come December 7.
