
Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana striker Bernard Tekpetey is delighted with his second season at Ludogorets Razgrad after helping the side to clinch the Bulgarian League crown.
The 24-year-old played an influential role as Ludogorets clinched their second successive titles with the club this season.
The Ghana international improved in his second season at the club after he managed just two goals in 25 appearances for the side.
The former Schalke 04 striker bagged a brace for the side in their 4-1 win over Slavia to seal their 11th League title for the Eagles.
And the Ghanaian has been left impressed with an improved performance in his second season.
“I enjoyed a good season compared to last. Then I had problems with adaptation and I had to get used to life in Bulgaria,” he said
“After getting to know the players and other things at the club, I started to improve. With hard work I can say that this season is much better for me than last.”
Tekpetey has been in immense form for Ludogorets helping them to clinch their 11th league triumph with 9 goals and 5 assists in 20 appearances.
This is better of his first spell in the Bulgarian top-tier last season where he managed two goals in 25 matches while playing on loan from Schalke 04.
The UniStar Academy product made a permanent switch from the German side to Ludogorets in the summer in a deal worth around €900,000.
