Africa-Press – Ghana. Saudi Pro League side Al Fayha will miss Ghana winger Samuel Owusu for the Kings Cup final against Al Hilal.
The Black Stars attacker has been ruled out of the game after suffering an injury during training and he is expected to be out for 6 to 8 weeks.
“The medical examinations conducted for the Ghanaian first-team footballer, Samuel Owusu, under the supervision of the medical partner, Reaya Hospital, resulted in him being injured in the pubic bone and he needed treatment for 6-8 week,” a medical report from the club read.
The 26-year-old will be in the treatment for a maximum of two months after the latest injury setback.
His absence will be a huge blow for Al Fahya, who face Al-Hilal Riyadh in the King’s Cup final on Saturday.
Owusu missed Ghana’s 2022 World Cup playoff against regional rivals Nigeria due to injury.
However, it remains to seen seen if he will recover in time for the qualifiers for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations in Ivory Coast.
