Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr. Patrick Johnson, the General Secretary of the Ghana Boxing Authority (GBA) has said, the Normalisation Committee which has been formed to lead reforms in Ghana Boxing would not work beyond 2026.

“The whole eco system of Ghana Boxing is going to be affected for the better so that all stakeholders will enjoy” he said.

Mr.Johnson, speaking to Ghana News Agency (GNA) in an exclusive interview, said that the Committee was supposed to work hand in hand with the Ghana Boxing Authority to bring on board the recommendations of the Ministerial Committee.

The General Secretary said, the Committee would introduce a five-year development plan, whereby investments would be applied to the sport.

He said the nation was going to attract deals including world boxing title bouts and other engagements to boost business and sports tourism as outcomes of that plan.
