Africa-Press – Ghana. The draw for the third edition of the Confederation of African Football (CAF) African Schools Football Championship has been held in Accra.

In the boys’ category, host Ghana, have been paired in Group A with Uganda, South Africa and Algeria while reigning title holders Tanzania would play Senegal, Cote d’Ivoire and DR Congo in Group B.

Also in the girls’ category, Ghana will play Benin, Morocco, and Malawi in Group A while the likes of DR Congo, South Africa, Uganda and Gambia will be in Group B.

The draw held at the MultiChoice Ghana Limited head office saw Ghanaian football legend Asamoah Gyan and Ivorian football star Clementine Toure assist in the draw process.

Other African football legends who were present at the draw include Adjoa Bayor (Ghana) and Amanda Dlamini (South Africa).

The highly anticipated matches at this year’s CAF African Schools Football Championship would begin on Wednesday, 23 April, with the final played on 26 April at the University of Ghana Stadium in Accra.

The CAF African Schools Football Championship is the continent’s premier football competition for girls and boys in the Under-15 age-group and the most successful youth sport mobilization movement in Africa.
