Africa-Press – Ghana. Not sure if you saw the 2021 SDG report, but wanted to share the surprisingly optimistic numbers of how we’re progressing so far. Despite COVID, numbers are pointing up according to the Global Sustainable Development Goal Indicators Database. We saw an increase from 115 in 2016 to 166 in 2019 and 211 in 2021.
While there are still some significant data gaps that make it difficult to fully comprehend our progress, these are good numbers that should be celebrated and improved further.
With that, I wanted to put on your radar an initiative by UNDP and Seedstars. We are launching ImpactAim SDGs Tech PreAccelerator, a global pre-accelerator looking for startups directly trying to push our SDGs progress forward.
Happy to send over our press release as soon as we launched if you’re keen to share.
If the topic is also interesting, we’d be happy to help work on a piece as well regarding sustaining and improving SDG progress through empowering entrepreneurs around the world. I can connect you with:
* Artak Robert Melkonyan, UNDP Senior Advisor on Equity Financing and Funds
* Alisee de Tonnac, Seedstars CEO, for an interview.
Do you think our accelerator would be interesting to your audience? And the SDG topic as well?
