Africa-Press – Ghana. Obodan (E/R), Nov 15- The Diaspora Girls’ Senior High School (SHS) at Obodan in the Akuapem South Municipality of Eastern Region played host to 302 candidates writing this year’s Basic Education Certificate Examination (BECE) beginning with social studies.

The candidates drawn from 12 basic schools comprised Nsaba D/A JHS, Oboadaka D/A JHS, Aburi-Amanfo D/A JHS, O’Amanfro D/A JHS, Nsakye D/A JHS, Akwakupom Methodist JHS, Obodan D/A JHS, Ahyiresu D/A JHS, MIOGA School Complex, Bright Star JHS, Enokwakyewa JHS and Theocracy JHS.

All candidates were made to leave their bags and other foreign material outside the examination hall or place them under trees far off the examination room.

Ms Tracy Amoah Idun, the Acting Head Mistress of Theocracy Junior High School, was happy that the students were prepared fully to write the examination and was confident the candidates would excel at the end of the examination and pursue their chosen career goals. About 571, 894 candidates are writing the 2021 BECE from beginning Monday, November 15 to Friday, November 19 in 2,158 centres countrywide.
