Africa-Press – Ghana. Borussia Dortmund Sporting Director Michael Zorc has admitted that the club might lose striker Erling Haaland in the summer.
Haaland has heavily been linked with a move with the likes of Manchester United, PSG, and Real Madrid all said to be interested in his services and according to Zorc in an interview with Sky Sports, via Mundo Deportivo, they will sell the player if the conditions are favorable.
“Of course we would like him to stay here in the summer, we do not have to give him up, not even for financial reasons. We know he has the opportunity to change under certain conditions but we are going to talk to him in the next few weeks.
“We have a long-term contract with him, so the first one who has to act is him, not us. For Borussia everything would be fine if it stayed that way,” Zorc said.
Haaland has a release clause that drops to €75m at the end of 2021/22 with the money looking affordable for some of the biggest clubs in Europe.
Haaland has been a goalscoring machine since arriving at Dortmund where he averages a goal per match and is on course to break his own record at the club in 2022 after netting an incredible 41 goals in 41 games in 2020/21.
