Africa-Press – Ghana. Arsenal fans have been reacting to GHANAsoccernet.com reports that striker Eddie Nketiah is considering switching national allegiance to Ghana after the Black Stars qualified for the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar.

The Ghana Football Association has made contact with the family of the Arsenal forward over a possible switch of international allegiance for the 22-year-old.

Born to Ghanaian parents in the United Kingdom, Nketiah has represented the country of his berth at the youth stage.

But with diminishing chances of representing the Three Lions of England at the international level, Nketiah’s chances of playing at the World Cup appears brighter with Ghana.

Ghana are confident of convincing the youngster to play for the Black Stars after the West African giants secured their fourth appearance at the global tournament.

GHANAsoccernet.com understands the young front man is weighing up the possibility of switching allegiance to Ghana amid.

The young footballer is British by birth. However, Eddie Nketiah parents are not from England.

They are Ghanaians. That also means Eddie Nketiah origin is Ghana, where he gets his ancestry.

Arsenal fans have taken to Twitter to express their views on the new developments.

Nketiah is considering making the switch in time to compete at this year’s World Cup in Qatar.

Ghana are said to be confident of convincing Nketiah to join them.

Although Edide was born in England, both his parents are Ghanaians.

The England youth captain has made 38 appearances for England at youth level, scoring 35 goals (England u21 17 appearances, 16 goals, u20 9/6, u19 10/9, u18 2/4).
