Africa-Press – Ghana. Bochum winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei is set to return to the Black Stars for the 2022 World Cup playoff against Nigeria later this month.

Ghanasoccernet.com understands the former Parderborn forward has been handed a call up by Ghana coach Otto Addo for the doubleheader.

Antwi-Adjei will be returning to the Black Stars for the first time in three years after receiving his debut call up under former coach Kwesi Appiah in an AFCON qualifier against South Africa and Sao Tome and Principe in 2019.

Christopher Antwi-Adjei made his international debut for Ghana in the 1-0 win at São Tomé and Príncipe in the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

He has not been called up to the national team again after making his debut.

The Bochum winger has been impressive in the Bundesliga this season for his club.

The 28-year-old has made 21 appearances this season and has scored one goal and one assist for the Bundesliga club.

Black Stars coach Otto Addo is expected to release the final squad next week.
