Africa-Press – Ghana. Former deputy Minister of Youth and Sports, Joseph Yamin, has descended heavily on the Ghana Football Association for the Black Stars’ disappointing AFCON campaign.

The Black Stars were bundled out of the tournament at the group stage after defeat to lowly Comoros Island, who were making their first AFCON appearance.

“We have to start focusing our minds on our Juvenile football as well as the league because we cannot think of foreign players always,” he told West FM.

“We have invested a lot of money into the Blackstars just because we wanted to win trophy but this time around we have to think about how to invest money in our football as a whole and not only Black Stars.

“Individually we have good players but we don’t have a team to compete for a trophy.

“Our League is not attractive as compared to the previous years whereby Supporters go to Stadium to support their team and all these things has affected our national teams and that’s why nowadays Supporters have lost passion in Black Stars.”

Yamin placed most of the blame on the FA despite the backlash at coach Milovan Rajevac. “The FA sacked CK Akonnor because of poor performance instead of them to appoint the right person, they went for Milovan Rajevac who have been without a job so we have to blame the FA for Black Stars poor performance”

“Milovan Rajevac always got his tactics and changes wrong and it shows clearly that he’s rusty,” he concluded.
