Africa-Press – Ghana. Madam Elizabeth Kesewaah Anim Adjornor, former Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) of the Jasikan Municipality in the Oti Region, has announced her return to the camp of Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former Vice President of Ghana.

In a statement dated December 18, 2025, Madam Adjornor said her decision followed deep personal reflection and extensive consultations, guided by conscience and conviction.

The former MCE offered an unreserved apology to Dr. Bawumia, acknowledging that her earlier support for Dr. Bryan Acheampong might have inadvertently affected his campaign, and called for unity and renewed loyalty.

Emphasising integrity and principled politics, she appealed to party faithful to remain loyal and committed to credible leadership and pledged to work with stakeholders towards the unity of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) and the greater good of Ghana.

Madam Adjornor’s return highlights a shift in political alignment, underscoring a renewed focus on vision, discipline, and forward-looking leadership under Dr Mahamudu Bawumia.
