Africa-Press – Ghana. The second edition of the Ghana Chieftaincy Awards Scheme have been opened for nominations. The Prestigious event organized by the Obokese Foundation seeks to primarily reward traditional rulers who in diverse ways impacted the wellbeing and growth of their respective communities in the country.

This was obtained in a statement copied to the Ghana News Agency (GNA) in Cape Coast. The event is scheduled for Saturday September 24 and would be held at the University of Cape Coast (UCC).

Daasebre Kwebu Ewusi VII, the Omanhen of Abeadze Traditional Area, assured the traditional rulers that the years would see a different face and improvement.

Daasebre Ewusi who doubles as the Board Chairman of the Award Scheme noted that the years event would be coincide with the African Diaspora. He believed the scheme would urge the traditional leaders to strive for excellence in the discharge of duties.
