Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana defender Kasim Nuhu Adams continued with his rich run of form in Switzerland with another masterful performance for FC Basel. The Black Stars defender hardly put a foot wrong as the Swiss giants thrashed rivals Grasshoppers 5-1 on Sunday at the St Jakob Park.
Kasim Adams played full throttle, keeping the attack of Grasshoppers quite for most part of the game to ensure Basel collected all three points. The 27-year-old’s display saw him score a rating of 6.9, according to statistics firm, Sofascore.
The on-loan Hoffenheim player made eight clearances and won a duel in two, and also had a 90% passing accuracy in the game. He made one key pass and out of his six long balls, four fell to his teammates as he ensured the defense was free from pressure.
Kasim Adams joined FC Basel in the summer transfer window and has instantly become a fan favourite due to his leadership at the back. His return to form and consistent game time has drawn the attention of Black Stars coach Otto Addo, who could invite him for the friendly against Switzerland before the World Cup in Qatar. Adams last played for the Black Stars at the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt.
