Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana midfielder Daniel Kofi-Kyereh is likely to face St Pauli teammate Afeez Aremu in the FIFA World Cup qualifiers play-offs in March.
The St Pauli star is expected to be named in the Ghana team that plays Nigeria in the two legged game.
His teammate Afeez Aremu has impressed Nigeria’s technical handlers and reports suggests he will be included in the Super Eagles team for the game.
It will be the first time the duo play on opposing sides since moving to the Hamburg-based club.
Kofi-Kyereh has been an important member of the Ghana team since making his debut last year.
He has also been integral in St Pauli’s quest for a return to the German Bundesliga, scoring 5 goals and providing ten assists.
Afeez Aremu played in the Ghana Premier League for Inter Allies before moving to abroad to continue his career.
The Black Stars host the Super in Ghana first before the second leg in Abuja seven days later.
