Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana midfielder Iddrisu Baba returned to action over the weekend after missing one month of action because of injury.

Baba started in Real Mallorca’s thrilling clash with Celta Vigo in La Liga on Sunday with the Ballaidos club winning 4-3.

He lasted 67 minutes before he was withdrawn. Baba looked lively throughout his time on the field, a clear indication that he had fully recovered from the setback.

Baba, who was making his 19th appearance of the season, was one of Mallorca’s best players according to Sofascore. He earned the club’s second-highest rating after achieving 80% accurate passes, won a combined 9 ground and aerial duels, and won three tackles.

Baba had missed four games because of the injury which he sustained while on duty with the Black Stars.

He got injured earlier this year during the Africa Cup of Nations in Ghana’s second match against Gabon.

Baba has regained fitness and will most likely be included in the squad for the upcoming 2022 World Cup playoff clash against Nigeria.
