Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana winger Christopher Antwi-Adjei is racing to be fit in the time ahead of Bochum against Bayer Leverkusen in the Bundesliga on Sunday.
The 28-year-old did not train with the team on Tuesday due to muscular problems in his adductor area.
Antwi-Adjei picked up this training during the warm-up time in the first half against TSG Hoffenheim.
The Ghana international complained after sustaining the injury and had to be rested on the bench.
The former Paderborn winger is hoping to regain fitness in time for the game this weekend.
Christopher Antwi-Adjei is likely not to start the game should he pass a late fitness test for Bochum following Takuma Asano impressive performance against Hoffenheim last week.
Antwi-Adjei was part of the Ghana squad that qualified for the 2022 World Cup after beating Nigeria in the playoff.
He has made 24 appearances and scored one goal and an assist this season.
