Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghanaian-born Italian striker Kelvin Yeboah is not finding life in Serie A easy after failing to score sixth game since joining Genoa.
Yeboah drew another blank on Friday evening but fortunately for Genoa, their opponents Inter Milan failed to score as the match ended goalless.
The attacker was brought in January to replicate his Austria exploits, but things have not gone to plan.
In Austria, Yeboah scored 11 goals and created four in 18 league games, but in Italy, Yeboah has registered no goal or assist.
On Friday, he was the lone striker as compatriot Caleb Ekuban was not included in Genoa squad due to injury. Yeboah did not register a shot on target and was withdrawn in the 61st minute.
Before the match, Yeboah in an interview with Sky Sports said, “We prepared it knowing that Inter is a good team but that they have had a difficult moment in the last two games, we are ready.
“The coach has prepared this match based on Inter’s two defeats, let’s see if everything will go well. If we can win? Of course, you can win every game. We are going to give 100% and we hope for a positive result.”
He will hope to start scoring soon as Genoa desperately need goals to move out of the relegation zone.
