Africa-Press – Ghana. Moritz-Broni Kwarteng scored the game-winning goal as FC Magdeburg defeated Greuther Furth in the German 2.Bundesliga on Sunday. The hosts took the lead in the first half, but Furth equalized before the Ghanaian forward scored the winner in the 86th minute.
Cristiano Piccini’s beautiful strike after 38 minutes broke the deadlock and put Magdeburg ahead. Damian Michalski restored parity for the visitors three minutes before the end of the first 45 minutes.
Kwarteng, however, ensured Magdeburg earned the three points with a brilliant strike four minutes from time. The 24-year-old has four goals and two assists this season. Kwarteng was born in Stuttgart, Baden-Württemberg and is of Ghanaian descent.
