Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghana’s Sports Minister Mustapha Ussif has requested for infrastructure support from the Qatari government after the 2022 World Cup tournament.
Qatar is set to donate some of its assembled stadia to some countries after the World Cup tournament in November.
Mustapha Ussif who paid a working visit to the Asian country as part of preparations ahead of Ghana’s World Cup participation paid a courtesy call on on the Minister for Culture and Sports, His Excellency Salah bin Ghanim Al-Ali to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries
The Sports Minister requested for infrastructure support for Ghana in terms of logistics, technical and if possible a donation of one of the stadia after the world cup.
Hon. Ussif emphasized the relations between the two countries in sports.
He noted that several Ghanaian footballers ply their trade in Qatar including Black Stars captain, Dede Ayew.
Mustapha Ussif had a fruitful meeting with the Sports Minister of Qatar and is confident the bilateral relations between the two countries will deepen.
Ghana will face Portugal, Uruguay and Korea Republic in Group H of the World Cup which kicks off in November.
