Africa-Press – Ghana. The Jinijini Health Centre in the Berekum West District of the Bono Region will be upgraded to a polyclinic status to improve the health of the people, Mr Joseph Addae Akwaboah, the Regional Minister has announced.
He said the government remained committed to bringing quality healthcare service to the doorstep of the rural dwellers.
Mr Akwaboah said this when he addressed a durbar of the chiefs and people of the area at Jinijini as part of his working visit to the region, and assured the people of President John Dramni Mahama’s commitment to fulfil his Election 2024 campaign promises.
He said progressive and sustainable development remained collective responsibility, and urged the stakeholders in the area to cooperate and support the course of development.
Mr Akwaboah expressed concern about the abandonment of the work on the construction of the Jinijini-Adom Tewbaabi road project by the previous administration and assured the people that the government would resume work and complete the road project.
He said the district would equally benefit from physical infrastructure projects under the government’s ‘Reset Agenda’ which he added was on course.
Mr Dickson Kyere Duah, the Member of Parliament for Berekum West Constituency, said the government was doing well in advancing the course of national development and assured the people that they would equally benefit from the national cake.
