Africa-Press – Ghana. Asante Kotoko staged a late comeback to draw 2-2 with Medeama in Kumasi as 2025/26 Ghana Premier League (GPL) Week 12 delivered drama across the country.
Medeama raced into a two-goal lead at Baba Yara Stadium through Derrick Fordjour’s fifth-minute volley and Yussif Mubarik’s penalty in the 18th.
Kotoko responded after the break, with Peter Amidu Acquah scoring in the 69th minute before captain Samba O’Neil headed a stoppage-time equaliser to salvage a point.
Medeama missed the chance to go top and next host Berekum Chelsea, while Kotoko would be on the road against Hohoe United.
Hearts of Oak returned to winning ways with a narrow 1-0 victory over Vision FC on Saturday.
Mawuli Wayo struck in the first half to give Hearts a 1-0 win over Vision FC at the University of Ghana Stadium.
Goalkeeper Solomon Agbasi made key saves after the break to preserve the lead.
The result lifts Hearts up the table into sixth and ends Vision’s search for an away win.
Defending champions Bibiani Gold Stars beat Aduana FC 1-0 at Dun’s Park thanks to Samuel Atta Kumi’s 16th-minute penalty. Gold Stars move into the top four, while Aduana slip to third.
Hohoe United earned their first-ever away victory with a 2-1 triumph over Bechem United. Augustine Okrah put Bechem ahead before Keke David scored twice for the visitors.
Bechem missed a penalty and remained in the bottom three.
Basake Holy Stars continued their resurgence with a 1-0 win over Nations FC, courtesy of Prince Tweneboah’s second-half strike.
Swedru All Blacks were held to a goalless draw by Young Apostles, while Heart of Lions stayed joint top after a 0-0 stalemate with Karela United.
Berekum Chelsea and FC Samartex also shared the spoils in a dull 0-0 draw at Golden City Park.
