Africa-Press – Ghana. Accra, March 17, GNA – With Asante Kotoko’s match-week 21-game against Eleven Wonders likely to be postponed, Aduana Stars will have the chance to close the eight-point gap with a trip to Tamale as they face a wounded Real Tamale United (RTU) side.
Aduana Stars who have won their last four matches are aiming for their fifth successive win, which wouldn’t come easy against an RTU side who are eager to avoid the drop this season. RTU are winless in seven matches and are level on points with WAFA who are third from the bottom with 21 points.
RTU has just won one game in this calendar year which came at home against Bibiani Gold Stars back in January and would be desperate to pick all three points against an Aduana side who together with Kotoko have the most away wins (4) in the league this season.
Accra Hearts of Oak after their 1-0 stumble in Dormaa last week would be looking to bounce back to winning ways to keep their top-four aspirations alive against AshantiGold SC at the Accra Sports Stadium.
It has been a topsy-turvy season for the reigning league Champions who are currently placed sixth on the league and the next encounter against AshantiGold would be a very difficult one as the
Miners have not lost against Hearts at the Accra Sports Stadium since 2014. AshantiGold would be looking to do double over Phobians having urged them in the first 2-0 at the Obuasi Len Clay Sports Stadium.
The most in-form side in the league Great Olympics would take a short trip to Dawu as they face Dreams. The Dade Boys have accumulated more points (13) in the last five Premier League games than any side in the league and would be looking to maintain their place in the top four.
Great Olympics goalkeeper Stephen Kwaku has been exceptional for his side, having conceded just one goal in 450 minutes. Relegation-bound Elmina Sharks face a stern task when they travel to Bibiani to face Gold Stars who are placed 14th, just two points above the relegation zone.
The new Premier League team have been very impressive at home this season having lost twice against Hearts and Kotoko but have all other seven matches.
WAFA ended their four-match winless run against RTU at home last week and would be looking to build on the positive result when they face Legon Cities at the El-Wak Sports Stadium.
WAFA have not won an away game the entire season and face a difficult task against a Legon Cities side who are searching for a win in four matches. King Faisal’s match against Berekum Chelsea at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium has been postponed to allow work to continue for Ghana’s World Cup playoff against Nigeria next week.
Below are the fixtures for week 21: Anyinasi: Karela vs Medeama Dawu: Dreams vs Great Olympics Bechem: Bechem United vs Accra Lions El-Wak: Legon Cities vs WAFA Tamale: RTU vs Aduana Stars Bibiani: Gold Stars vs Elmina Sharks Kumasi: King Faisal vs Berekum Chelsea (Postponed) Accra: Hearts of Oak vs Ashanti Gold
