Africa-Press – Ghana. International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS) has ranked Hasaacas Ladies as the 55th best women’s club in the world.
Meanwhile, the Ghanaian champions are third in Africa.
Hasaacas Ladies dominated the local scene last season winning five trophies and also impressed in the maiden edition of the CAF Women’s Champions League.
They placed second after losing in the final to South Africa’s Mamelodi Sundowns who are first in Africa with Morocco’s FAR Rabat second.
However, Sundowns and Rabat are ranked 26th and 35th respectively in the world.
Spanish giants Barca Femini who an unprecedented treble including the UEFA Champions League last season leads the way with 876 points.
There are 8 other European clubs within the top 10. Corinthians (Brazil) is the only non-UEFA representative there.
The ranking is based on the performance of clubs in international and national tournaments over the last 12 months.
