Africa-Press – Ghana. With four games to go till the end of the Ghana Premier League season, Hearts of Oak have been mathematically ruled out of winning the league.
The Phobians are currently 12th on the table and are 17 points behind leaders Samartex. The Accra-based team has largely struggled this season.
Hearts have lost six of their last eight games and are now just five points clear of the relegation zone.
Aboubakar Ouattara was brought in after the second round to change the fortunes of the club but the Ivorian coach seems fed up.
“We played badly today, there was no motivation and I don’t understand what happened. Very disastrous, very disappointed completely.”
“The key players will come out for nothing. All the plans are down, very difficult but these boys I don’t understand them, today you are good tomorrow you are bad, I don’t understand what happened but today is a very bad game,” he added.
“I am not happy today because the boys I don’t understand them, today they are good tomorrow they are bad ”
Last season, it was similar for the Phobians as they finished 12th, 14 points behind winners Medeama.
Since Hearts won the league in 2021, the club has struggled on the domestic scene and will once again not compete in Africa next season.
