Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr. Prosper Kumi. Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive, has urged the Bank of Ghana (BoG) to expand its corporate social responsibility {CSR} efforts to meet Hohoe’s development needs.
He said such initiatives would not only benefit the local community but also demonstrate the Bank’s commitment to supporting sustainable local development.
Mr. Kumi made the appeal during an institutional visit to the Bank’s office in Hohoe.
Discussions focused on key areas requiring support, including road infrastructure, sanitation, and essential social services.
He emphasised the importance of strategic partnerships in fostering development at the local level and expressed optimism that the Bank would help tackle some of the Municipality’s challenges.
Mr. Victor Akakpo, Volta Regional Manager of the Bank of Ghana, assured the MCE that the concerns raised had been noted and would be given the necessary attention.
He also commended the Municipal Assembly for its efforts in mobilising property rates to support development within the area.
