Aidoo revealed that in a s much as he wants to play for the national team, he had no choice but to support the team from home.

“I would have liked to play for my country, every player wants to do so. But once I didn’t go, I was still able to support from home. It wasn’t exactly a disappointment. I would like to help Ghana to reach the top, but I was not selected, other teammates were going and my role was to help from the outside,” he told lavozdegalicia.es.

His outstanding displays at Celta Vigo earned him a new contract, which he signed to the summer of 2026.
