Kotoko Offers Condolences after Aduana FC Fans Die

Africa-Press – Ghana. Asante Kotoko has expressed condolences to Aduana FC after two of the latter’s supporters died in a road accident returning from a league match.

Aduana FC on Monday announced the death of two of its supporters, with two others receiving treatment at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.

A statement signed by Nana Apinkra Akwasi Awua, the Chairman of Kotoko’s Interim Management Committee (IMC), said, “The entire Asante Kotoko SC family is profoundly saddened and devastated to learn of the tragic accident that claimed the lives of two Aduana FC supporters and left two injured, following our recent match in Kumasi.

“The IMC, Technical Team, Players and Supporters are united in grief upon receiving this heartbreaking news.

“The beautiful game of football is meant to build bridges and foster camaraderie, and to have such a tragedy occur following a sporting contest is a painful blow to the entire football community.”

Kotoko expressed their solidarity with Aduana FC and prayed for the eternal rest of the departed souls.
