Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr Ernest Yaw Anim, Member of Parliament (MP) for Kumawu has donated metal trunks and chop boxes to candidates in the area, who passed their BECE examinations and have qualified to enter senior high schools this academic year.
He also presented an amount of GHc 2,000.00 to each beneficiary to support the purchase of various items to school.
Mr Anim, speaking at a short ceremony to present the items, said the importance of education could not be over emphasized.
He said education was a powerful weapon and a positive legacy, which could be imparted to generations.
The MP pointed out that education opened doors and provided the needed skills and expertise that created job opportunities and better lives for the people.
Mr Anim commended the beneficiaries for excelling in their exams and asked them to continue to learn hard at the secondary level so as to able to pass their examinations and enter the tertiary education level.
