Africa-Press – Ghana. An interdenominational Christian service to mark the first National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving has been held at the forecourt of the State House, Accra.

In February 2025, President John Dramani Mahama proposed that a National Day of Prayer and Thanksgiving should be held on July 1, which is also Ghana’s Republic Day, and marks Senior Citizens Day.
