Africa-Press – Ghana. At least nine passengers are feared dead after the vehicle they were travelling in on the Pusiga road in the Upper East Region was attacked by some unknown gunmen.
It is unclear what the motive of the masked gunmen was but many are attributing the attack to the insecurity in the Bawku municipality.
The police quickly mounted a search for the heavily-built men. They were escorting the passenger bus Thursday dawn.
About nine who sustained various degrees of injury are said to be receiving treatment at the hospital.
