Africa-Press – Ghana. Mr Kwesi Damba, an aspiring constituency secretary of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the Nkwanta South Constituency of the Oti Region, has appealed to party members to put aside all differences arising from the recent presidential primary and unite ahead of the 2028 general election.

Mr Damba said unity and cohesion remained the party’s strongest assets for securing electoral victory, warning that lingering internal divisions could weaken the NPP’s prospects if not properly addressed.

Speaking in an interview on the aftermath of the presidential primary, he described the contest as a healthy democratic exercise that demonstrated the party’s internal strength.

He stressed that the time had come for all members, irrespective of the candidates they supported, to rally behind the elected flagbearer and work collectively.

He underscored the importance of tolerance, mutual respect and forgiveness among party supporters, noting that such values were essential in restoring confidence and strengthening grassroots mobilisation.

Mr Damba pledged to promote peace and unity within the constituency if given the mandate, assuring members of an inclusive leadership style that would prioritise the welfare and growth of the party at all levels.
