Onua News report on EPA headquarters in Accra gets results: Weeds cleared, painting underway

Africa-Press – Ghana. Weeds at the headquarters of the environmental protection agency in Accra have been cleared while the headquarters building is now undergoing painting.

This follows Onua news’ report on 18th April 2024 of EPA’s headquarters engulfed in filth and weedy.

The mission of the EPA is to manage, protect, and enhance the country`s environment as well as seek common solutions to global environmental problems.

The previous visit to EPA headquarters in Accra revealed the precincts of the building had been turned into a dump site.

Weeds had taken over the place with pieces of plastic bags left around.

The area also serves as home to some mentally challenged persons who have pitched camp in the weeds.

The general public is disappointed and wants the agency to wake up from its slumber.

The Korle Clottey Municipal Assembly have mobilized resources to clear the EPA headquarters walkway.

But the heap of rubbish is still there while plastic bags are left around unattended to and the gutters still smell bad.

Now, the latest development on the Environmental Protection Agency building that has not seen any paint for so many years is undergoing painting.
