President Mahama Calls Emergency Cabinet Session on Cocoa

Africa-Press – Ghana. President John Dramani Mahama has convened an emergency Cabinet session scheduled for Wednesday, February 11, to deliberate on pressing challenges facing Ghana’s cocoa sector.

Mr Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Presidential Spokesman and Minister of State in charge of Government Communications, announced this in a statement posted on X.

Recent reports indicate that the cocoa sector is experiencing severe difficulties, prompting discussions among key stakeholders, including the Ministry of Finance and COCOBOD, on urgent and transformative measures needed to stabilise the industry.
