Africa-Press – Ghana. President John Dramani Mahama Saturday spent his 67th birthday visiting children on admission at the LEKMA Hospital at Teshie and the Maamobi Polyclinic in Accra.
In a message shared after the visit, President Mahama thanked Ghanaians for their warm wishes, prayers, greetings and cards, and expressed appreciation for the flowers he received from the First Lady, Mrs Lordina Mahama, and many well-wishers.
“Thank you all for the best wishes, prayers, your birthday greetings and cards, and the lovely flowers from Lordina and many Ghanaians,” the President said.
He added that marking the day with children receiving medical care brought him great fulfilment.
“I couldn’t think of a better way to celebrate my 67th birthday than spending it with some of our young citizens on admission in the hospital,” he said.
President Mahama and the First Lady visited the children’s wards at both facilities, where they interacted with patients, parents and medical staff.
