Africa-Press – Ghana. President John Dramani Mahama has nominated Madam Diana Asoketarige Ayamga for appointment as the District Chief Executive (DCE), for the Bongo District Assembly in the Upper East Region.
This was contained in a statement signed by Mr Ahmed Ibrahim, the Minister for Local Government, Chieftaincy and Religious Affairs, and issued to the Ghana News Agency.
The statement said the nomination was in accordance with Article 243(1) of the 1992 Constitution and Section 20(1) of the Local Governance Act, 2016 (Act 936), as amended.
It said the nomination followed a formal communication from the Office of the President, and that the appointment, remained subject to approval by the District Assembly.
