Africa-Press – Ghana. Ransford-Yeboah Konigsdorffer is hoping for his first Ghana call-up for upcoming friendlies against Nicaragua and Brazil.

The German-born forward hopes to make his Ghana debut in September after declaring that he will play for Black Stars in August.

The Hamburger player could be handed his first call-up this month as Black Stars continue World Cup preparations with friendly games against Nicaragua and Brazil in Europe.

“I would be willing to play for Ghana. Otto Addo and I met last December before he became the national coach. We’ve kept in touch ever since. I am already in charge of the Ghanaian passport. I would be delighted to attend the next international matches in September,” he told Bild.

The 20-year-old was born in Berlin to a Ghanaian father and a German mother.

He made his debut for Germany’s U21 team in 2021, but he chose to switch and commit to Ghana and is now thinking about being part of the squad for the World Cup.

He has started the season well, scoring two goals in five games, and if he maintains this form, he will be considered.
