Africa-Press – Ghana. RC Lens have decided to put midfielder Salis Abdul Samed up for sale following a disappointing campaign.

The Ghana international has experienced a noticeable decline in form, prompting the club to seek his departure in the upcoming summer transfer window.

According to a report from Foot Mercato, Samed, who joined RC Lens from Clermont Foot in 2022 for €5 million, has failed to live up to expectations this season.

He was one of the club’s standout performers last season, helping secure Champions League qualification with a second-place finish in Ligue 1, but his performances have been below par this term.

Despite being rewarded with a new one-year contract extension until June 2028 due to his impressive displays last season, Samed has struggled to replicate his form this campaign.

With limited playing time in recent matches, manager Franck Haise’s lack of trust in him has become evident.

RC Lens are planning to shift players out this summer, including midfielder 🇬🇭 Salis Abdul Samed.

Samed has only started 17 games in Ligue 1 this season, and has only started 8 games in 2024.

While Samed was previously linked with several clubs during his peak form, his current downturn in form may pose challenges in attracting potential suitors in the upcoming transfer window.
