Africa-Press – Ghana. Real Madrid continue to plan for their long-term future and have been tipped to pursue Borussia Dortmund midfielder Jude Bellingham in 2023.
18-year-old Bellingham has enjoyed a meteoric rise over the past few years and is now a regular for both club and country. Unsurprisingly, a whole host of transfer rumours have surrounding the teenager for months now.
Among the strongest links are those to Liverpool, but Bild throw Real Madrid’s name into the mix and insist that the Spaniards are ready to move for Bellingham in 2023.
Real see rejuvenating their midfield, which is currently held down by 36-year-old Luka Modric, 32-year-old Toni Kroos and 30-year-old Casemiro as one of their priorities for the near future, although this summer’s focus remains elsewhere.
Kylian Mbappe is the primary target and Real also want to team him up with Bellingham’s Dortmund team-mate Erling Haaland, meaning money will be tight elsewhere.
As such, Real are tipped to start working on a Bellingham deal now but with a view to the England international moving to Spain in 2023.
Signing the former Birmingham City man won’t come cheap. He’s under contract until 2025 and is not believed to have a release clause, meaning Dortmund can demand somewhere close to the £100m mark.
Alongside Bellingham, Real are said to be chasing Monaco’s Aurelien Tchouameni, who could be a target for this summer as so many other sides are monitoring the Frenchman.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain have been linked with Tchouameni, whose agent recently spoke to Le Parisien to deny rumours that an agreement with Real had already been struck.
