Africa-Press – Ghana. In-form Genk winger Joseph Paintsil has extended his contract with the club until 2026 following an explosive start to life in the Belgian Jupiler League.
The 24-year-old’s current deal was set to expire in 2023 but has now extended his spell with The Smurfs, which began when he joined from Ferencváros in 2018.
The Ghana international has become a key member of the team since he made the switch from Ghanaian outfit Tema Youth. Paintsil is enjoying a fabulous campaign so far, scoring four goals and providing an assist in the Belgian top-flight.

Paintsil featured on loan at Turkish side Ankaragücü and rejoined the side after the expiration of a season long loan deal. He scored twice and provided two assists in 22 games for Genk last season.
The Ghanaian, who has marked his 100th game for KRC Genk, has been overlooked for Ghana’s international friendlies against Brazil and Nicaragua. He is currently on fire in the Belgian Jupiler League, scoring four goals and providing two assists in just eight games.
