Africa-Press – Ghana. Roberto Firmino is expected to return to action before Christmas according to journalist James Pearce.
Firmino picked up a hamstring injury during Liverpool’s victory over Atletico Madrid and is expected to be on the sidelines for more than a month. In a Q&A for the Athletic, Pearce revealed he hopes to see the Brazilian return in the middle of December, a month before Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane are due to depart for the Africa Cup of Nations.
“Looking for positives, Firmino should be back playing by mid-December so will be going into that crunch period fresh when Salah/Mane are away,” he wrote.
The 30-year-old has netted six goals already this season.
