Africa-Press – Ghana. Ghanaian youngster Emmanuel Yeboah have been described as a “special talent” by Romanian giants CFR Cluj who have been impressed by the striker.

The highly-rated striker scored on his debut for the side’s developmental squad in their 2-1 win over SCM Zalau 2-1 at home in the Romanian youth league.

Yeboah was introduced upon resumption of the second half and netted the winning goal.

CFR Cluj went into the break with a 1-0 lead after Gidea gave them the breakthrough.

The 19-year-old doubled their advantage in the 68th minute after an interplay with a teammate.

Zalau managed to get a consolation in the 87th minute.

Yeboah joined CFR Cluj from Division 1 side Young Apostles where he scored 10 and provided 4 assists in 16 appearances.

The Ghanaian is now being touted as the new big thing in the Romanian top-flight with his immense quality and talent.

The Romanian champions have managed to sign several young talents from Africa and Central America since Pavel Cristian Balaj was appointed President of the club.

CFR Cluj has also succeeded in bringing in young midfielder Adjani Abdoul Kade, defender Orman Davis and 18-year-old striker Mustapha Jah.

“We are obliged to bring, we want to ensure our future, we do not think only in the short term. It is no coincidence that we have some well-known players. We have two Ivorians aged 19 and 21, plus 3 players from Ghana, all between 18 and 19, and one player from Panama. All these six players have been to the national teams. We saw all these players before we transferred them, except for the one from Panama, about whom we had good references. He is to be verified.

“I had people who went and followed them, and only then did I bring them to Romania. First of all, we want to use them, to raise them, and later to transfer them to more important clubs ”- Cristi Balaj.

Yeboah is an incredible football talent who has a knack for scoring spectacular goals. The 19-year-old recorded goals and contributes 4 assists in 16 appearances in all competitions this season.

He also won eight man of the match awards in that period. A move to Europe had been expected but not that soon. Not that he is complaining.

His new club can expect a lot of that from a young man who has gone through a decent preparation phase. He spent time with New Vision Academy playing colts football before joining Duayaw Nkwanta Fc in the local division two league.

Being smart on the pitch is what caught the attention of ArthurLegacy Sports Agency boss Oliver Arthur after the young man had been introduced to him by Young Apostles boss Sammy Anim Addo.

Addo is the business manager of Ghana legend Asamoah Gyan, a player Yeboah adores so much.

No surprise who his idol is then.

“Asamoah Gyan is my role model. I hope to replicate his exploits in the national team and at the club level. I want to be one of the best strikers in the world.”
