Member of Parliament (MP) for the Ningo Prampram constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Sam Nartey George, popularly known as Gyataba has been labelled as a soft politician and not as tough as he has made people believe he is.
New Patriotic Party’s parliament hopeful for Ningo Prampram, Alex Martey who has been punching holes in the activities of Sam George says he (Gyataba) is not at the helm of affairs in the constituency.
Speaking on ‘Epa Hoa Daben’ on Happy FM, he said that, “Sam George is not in control of things in Ningo Prampram. He has done well in promoting his personal brand but has failed in promoting that of the constituency making us unhappy with him”.
According to Alexander Martey, he is a hyena’ and the only animal that can fight the ‘lion’ (Sam George) in the constituency. He reiterated that the entire Ningo Prampram constituency is behind him and that, he is going to win his party primaries and move on to win the seat for his party.
The NPP has settled on September 28 to either select or elect parliamentary candidates for the 2020 general election in constituencies where the party does not have a sitting Member of Parliament (MP).
However, primaries for constituencies where the party has sitting MPs have been deferred to a later date.
These decisions were arrived at by the party’s National Executive Committee (NEC), pursuant to Article 12 of the NPP’s constitution.
