Mr Ikechukwu Oke underwent a 41 day and night fasting
A Nigerian university man has drastically been reduced to bones after he attempted to overthrow Jesus in the fasting “race”.
The man who has been identified as Ikechukwu Oke reportedly fasted for 41 days and nights overtaking the record set by Jesus who fasted for 40 days and nights.
Mr Ikechukwu who hails from Ebiaji in Ezza North LGA reportedly embarked on the 41 days and nights dry fasting and prayer in his hostel, located over family problems.
Ikechukwu, who is said to be a student of the Ebonyi State University (EBSU) in Nigeria was hospitalised after friends found him.
His schoolmate, Christian Nwaokpa told Punch newspaper that: “He is from Ebiaji in Ezza North LGA. It is his nature.
“As it stands now, men of goodwill and ambassadors are on the way conveying him to the Accident and Emergency Ward in Federal Teaching Hospital in Abakaliki.”
