Africa-Press – Ghana. St Pauli manager Timo Schultz is full of praise for Ghanaian attacking midfielder Daniel-Kofi Kyereh following his two-goal heroic in the victory Karlsruher.
The player, who turned 26 today has been in blistering form for the Boys in Brown, as their quest for Bundesliga promotion continues.
Kyereh’s brace ensured St Pauli close the gap on leaders Werder Bremen to only one point.
Timo Schultz described the Ghanaian as top class for the second division.
“Kofi’s performance was excellent. His actions, the goals he scores or has already provided – that’s really top class in the second division,” he said after Saturday’s victory.
The Black Stars player has already started attracting interests from clubs in the Bundesliga but Schultz believes the Ghana international will stay if they earn promotion.
“Everything is speculative. Both in terms of us and Kofi’s future. We’ll see, wait for the rest of the season and the summer break. I’m not naïve either, but I think he’s quite comfortable here and would like to stay,” he said.
