Africa-Press – Ghana. Son of Ghana midfielder, Sulley Muntari, Jamal Kruise Muntari has finally seen his dream come true after watch his father play for the first time at the stadium.
Muntari revealed before his debut that his six year old son, who wanted to see him play, played a role in his decision to join Hearts of Oak.
“Decision to play now is my son but decision to play for Hearts of Oak was easy,” said Muntari to the club’s media.
The young Muntari and his mother Menaye Donkor were in the stands to watch Sulley make his debut for the Phobians against Great Olympics.It wasn’t the kind of debut Muntari wanted as Hearts of Oak lost 1-0 to their regional rivals at the Accra Sports Stadium.
Yussif Razak’s first half strike separated the two side, and handed coach Samuel Boadu his first defeat at home since joining Hearts.
